New Website Design

I've just given www.addictivefootball.com a major over-haul.

I was never happy with how it originally looked but the idea was to just get the site up and running. Now I think it looks a 100% better. I still need to add a bit more content but there's plenty to see and read about the game.

If you run a gaming or football website then why not consider swapping links with us. Details can be found on our Partners Page.

Addictive Football v1.7 Released

We've just uploaded v1.7 of Addictive Football. The new version includes the following:

* 2 new pitches to play on - Ice and Futuristic. The Ice pitch is obviously icy and the ball rolls a lot further. The futuristic pitch is a new design which includes obstacles that you can boot the ball off and new goal areas.

* Rating display for each team on the Team Select screens. Represented by a horizontal bar underneath the kit design. This makes it easy to see which teams are better than the others.

* Improved A.I. In older versions the computer opponents stuck to you like glue. The A.I has now been improved to be more realistic.

* Menu screens have been tarted up a bit.

As always, all feedback welcome :)

Team Ratings

Addictive Football Team Ratings - Click to Enlarge
In the new version (v1.7) which should be released next week we've also added a new rating system which shows a teams overall rating on the Team Select screens. This makes it easy for players to see which teams are better than others. Of course they can always go to the Team Information screen to get a full breakdown of the stats but this should help new players as well.

The screenie above shows the new rating bars for the two teams (underneath the actual kits). So by taking a quick glance we can see that Corrin UTD should absolutely batter Hoggy United - or will they?

Addictive Football Improvement Survey

We've just added a new Improvement Survey for Addictive Football. It can be found at http://www.addictive247.co.uk/addictivefootballimprovsurvey.htm
If you've played the demo version of the game then we'd love to hear your comments by completing the survey. It will literally only take a minute.

If you haven't played the latest demo (v1.6) of the game then it can be downloaded at http://www.addictive247.co.uk/downloadfooty.htm

Many Thanks

The Future of Football . . .

. . . could look like this:
Addictive Football Futuristic Pitch 1 - Click to Enlarge
The two diamond shape structures in the screenshot are actually obstacles which you can boot the ball off. You can also run round and around them and try and shake off an attacking player! Great fun when playing against a friend, which should annoy the hell out of them.

Addictive Football Futuristic Pitch 2 - Click to Enlarge
The screenshot above shows the new goal area. The two warning lights at the bottom of the screen start flashing red when a goal is scored.

The new pitch designs are currently being tested and will appear in the next build of the game. I think the design of the actual pitch still needs a bit of tweaking but version 1.7 might be out this week, if all is well.

Futuristic Pitch

Just for fun the next build of Addictive Football will also feature a futuristic pitch to play on along with the new Ice pitch. That means there will be a total of 6 pitches to play on in the full game.

I'm still working on some of the pitch detail but I'll post a screenie tomorrow. It basically plays like the other pitches but is faster and there's obstacles which will be in the way when playing.

Both the new Ice and Futuristic pitches will be available for the Friendly and Custom game modes only and will not be unlocked in the demo version.
